We select our best estate grapes for these wines. When ripe, the grapes are tested daily to determine when to pick and which areas of the vineyard will match the style of wine that it will make. For instance, Riesling grapes located near Ziggy’s Perch are always selected for our Dry Riesling because they express the greatest purity for this style.
This mélange of Sauvignon Blanc (40%), Pinot Gris (30%) and Viognier (30%) is our estate blend. The name of this wine is a play on the numbers of the two blocks where the grapes are grown and matches the number of our brother Bert’s college football jersey. Vinified exclusively in stainless steel it's characterized by vibrant notes of grapefruit and lemon grass on the nose with a crisp and clean finish.
True style of an Alsace Dry Gewurztraminer - coriander aroma with a light rose petal and peppery flavor. Full bodied, floral, with a spicy finish.
Scents of fresh rose petals, citrus peel and coconut. The palate has the classic Gewurz flavors of rose petal, ginger, nectarine and cinnamon. Made from perfectly ripe clusters with minimal disturbance during the winemaking.
This mouthwatering, highly aromatic Gewürz dances on the palate with spicy, mineralladed lychee and apricot flavors intermingling with pretty citrus notes. The texture is silky and the wine remains snappy as racy acidity cuts through the sweet citrus-backed fruit. A kick of gingerbread is highlighted on the lip-smacking finish.
Fragrances of wet stone, minerals and stone fruit jump out of the glass. The flavor profile is vivid and intense with white peaches and hints of dried apricots joining stony minerality, lime zest and a touch of herbs flourishing on the palate. Lean and crisp with bracing acidity, the wine finishes on a bright note with plenty of length.
A fan favorite at Brengman Brothers! This wine exudes aromas of citrus and delicate pear notes with just the right amount of natural sweetness.
This wine comes from the southeast facing slope of Block 3 of Crain Hill on the top of the hill section known as Ziggy’s Perch. These grapes have become one of the most consistent, finest-quality dry Riesling blocks since our first harvest in 2007. Seductively fresh, delicious, citrus fruit of immediate finesse--dry as a bone!
A traditional Gemischter Satz made using 14 grape varieties left on their skins seven days that developed a powerfully aromatic, refreshing wine. Crain Hill Vineyard is where most of the grapes were grown along with an addition from the MSU Research Station vineyard one mile north. Winemaker Nathaniel Rose 's old world mastery promotes longevity and complexity in this fine wine.
