2016 Riesling Spatlese
Estate Grown, Produced and Bottled
Made from grapes grown in Crain Hill Vineyard, Block 3
Tasting notes
Pale lemon yellow, bright. Cream honey, apricot jam with orange blossom on the nose. A symphony of lime, peach, RS with perfect back palate acid for a long finish.
Production notes
Second from last picking in the Riesling Block brought in perfect clusters at 22 brix. Destemmed and crushed before basket pressed. Cool temps during fermentation to extend the process then adjusted to very cold temp at the perfect balance to create this Spätlese. Another six months on its fine lees before final prep for bottling.
